Bonjour !!

Hello everyone! Its been awhile since I had the chance to get on here and post and Im sorry. Paris was a blast. I saw a lot of cool things while I was there. I think I only picked up on a few French words . Merci was the one I probably used the most. It would of been cool to know French and after being there I wish I had taken it in high school. Anywho, the lourve was amazing. Probably the biggest museum Ive ever been too. It wasnt what I had expected though. The Lourve is obviously a big tourist attraction. But my God! There were so many tourists that it was hard to enjoy. Did I see the Mona Lisa? Yes I saw it.....for about 2 minutes and then I had to move out of line so the people behind me could see. That was a disappointment. Im sure its worse than usual these days because of The Divinci Code. But other than that the museum as a whole was cool. Very big, I wish I had more time to explore it.
The Château de Versailles was purely amazing. It was definitely bigger than I had imagined. The palace probably has about two zip codes. They were renting out golf carts to check out the garden. The garden was huge. You could easily get lost. It was like a labyrinth. So many fountains and statues. I couldnt even make it to the Marie Antoinette estate. The palace itself was like a museum. Everything was beautiful. Every room had many pictures of the royal families. The hall of mirrors. Something that Ive wanted to see for along time.........most of it was closed off for restoration. I was pissed.
The Effel Tower! While it was hell to get up there with the winding line. It was a sight. I was alittle uneasy with the elevator ride....kinda afraid of heights. But from up there you could see all of the famous sites. At the very top of the tower there was an office where Mr.Effel worked. I had no idea there was an office up there. You could even get lunch when your at the mid section of the tower. Kind of weird to see, but they do it with every tourist attraction and charge you a ridiculous amount.
The arc de triumphe was quite a site as well. Very tall! I wanted to go to the top but it was raining. I also saw the Cathedral of Notre Dame. Wow! I couldnt believe how big it was from the inside. Very cool. I was 4 minutes late to get in line to go to the top of the tower. I still cant believe they wouldnt let me up.....4 minutes!
I did see some other things as well:
  • The Conciergerie
  • Ste Chappelle
  • Basillique du Sacre Coeur

I met some cool people at the hostel. I only hung out with some of them a couple of the nights. I also tried a couple new foods. One was raw beef cutlets and raw salmon. Both really good. I wanted to try escargot, but I never had a chance. I also tried some fantastic pasteries. Paris started to get a little expensive. Last night I left and have arrived in Berlin this morning. Today Im going to wander around the city. Most of the muesums are closed today so I plan on just walking the area. I will try to update you all on Berlin as soon as I can. I miss you guys!
